Around here, we give good dogs treats. This month we give good dogs Bandit’s Bones and Pig Ear Snacks. OM NOM NOM. And this week I have five dogs in my home. WHO’S A GOOD DOG?!
Is it Flash? Is Flash a good dog? Does he get a Pig Ear Snack?
Or is it Patches? Does she get a Bandit’s Bone?
It must be Chewy. Chewy is always a good dog, right? Well, except for that time he chewed up over a hundred pages in a book I was reading. Or all the times he’s shredded tissues all over the house. But he was just making confetti to celebrate being a good dog. So yes, Chewy gets a Pig Ear Snack.
Or maybe it’s Honey! Honey is always a good dog! Honey is here till Friday morning, hanging out with the Chew Monster, being a diva, sleeping on all the soft surfaces. She totally merits a Pig Ear Snack.
Or is Gadget the good dog? Gadget can’t have the Pig Ear Snack because of dietary restrictions, but this tiny dog loves him a bone. I think he deserves a Bandit’s Bone. Even though he’s such a pig about attention and has stolen Chewy’s prized lap. There’s plenty of room for two wee dogs in my lap, but they’re not sharing.
And this is what bedtime looked like last night. I think that this photo, probably more than any, gives you an idea of how tiny these three dogs are.
All three tiny dogs deserve Pig Ear Snacks for sleeping the whole night through on my bed without jockeying for position. Well, Gadget initially slept in the pillow right next to my head. But I breathed on him and he moved to my feet.
So! The moral of this story? If you have a good dog – and you know you do – give it a Jones Natural Chew! If your good dog is small, pick up a bag of Pig Ear Snacks! They’re nomalicious. If your good dog is large, a Bandit’s Bone will keep it busy for awhile. And both will make your dog smile. Naturally.
Until I write again …
