So! Whadda ya think of the face lift? Y’all, I spent nearly all day yesterday and Monday playing with the blog design. This little guy kept me company.
I highly recommend working with your dog. Well, I do and I don’t. I have four dogs. Which means that every time a leaf blows across the lawn, four dogs bark. Say hi to the big dog.
And every time one of them gets the urge to pee or mark or chase bunnies, I’m getting up and letting them all out the back door. Waiting. Letting them back in. Say hi to my instigator.
And sometimes the instigator will climb up onto the arm of my chair, put his little paws on my chest, stare in my eyes, and let me know that they all want a treat. Yes, I take treat breaks. Meet the matron, who always gets her treats first.
Lately they’ve been getting Woofers. I simply adore the Woofer. It’s just a ground beef patty (single ingredient treat) that’s been baked nice and thin. Not only do all four dogs go nuts for it, it’s probably the easiest of all of Jones Natural Chews to break into small pieces. One Woofer will treat four dogs twice, and only because I give the bigger dogs bigger pieces.
Oh wait. The Lamb Lung Puffs snap a little easier. And dogs love them even MORE, believe it or not.
So where was I going with this? Oh! The new look! I’ve probably cycled through ten different blog themes looking for the right combination of appearance and functionality. And I’ve played with the header a thousand times. Got it nearly good enough (for now), and the whole site just up and disappeared. Gave me quite a fright. I finally called the hosting company and a server was down. Whew! I didn’t break anything.
Hopefully I can talk with a couple of tech savvy friends when I get to Blog Paws and figure out what to do with the design and functionality of this blog. Y’all are going to Blog Paws, aren’t you? Please say yes. A friend of mine will be there for the first time and I’d like to introduce her to all of you. Perhaps you’ll remember her dogs?
Louie will be at Blog Paws! And I’ll have tiny, chirping ducklings! Which I’m trying to figure out how to dress up. So if you haven’t made arrangements to head to Blog Paws in Nashville, Memorial Day weekend, do it now!
But before you do that, get up and give your dog a treat. I recommend a Cutie Q if you’re working. It’ll keep the dog quiet longer. 😉
Until I write again …
