Only Two More Chemo Treatments
Only two. Count ’em. Two more chemo treatments. And I couldn’t BE less excited! Yeah, you read that right. This chemo treatment stuff is cumulative. It’s wearing me OUT. I’m a tired, emotional mess. And I’m ready to be done. DONE.
But I really am excited about being nearly done. December eighth I’ll have my chemo pump off for the last time. We’ll be celebrating. Well, everyone else can celebrate. I’ll be asleep, I’m sure. I might sleep for a week. Who knows?
But next week is a chemo week. I have treatment and a pump on Monday, then the pump comes off on Wednesday. So Thanksgiving is shot all to pieces. Feel sorry for me, y’all. No, I’m not serious. It’s actually a good thing. I’ll be so tired that spending time with family would nearly kill me. This way I get to stay home and sleep while everyone else enjoys their turkey day and each other’s company. It really is a win/win. PLUS, I get the dogs at home. Little dogs asleep on my lap, keeping me warm. It just doesn’t get any better than that.
So, truth be told, I don’t really have any updates on the chemo treatments this week. I just wanted to elicit sympathy. Did it work? And now I’ll go back to napping and giving Big Paw Jerky to the dogs when they give me puppy eyes. Which they do all day long, Dang dogs. They’re addicted to Jones Natural Chews.
Giveaway
Speaking of Jones Natural Chews (you know, like I casually drop them into every conversation that I have, both here and in real life), they’re hosting a treat giveaway! We’re actually giving away one of my all-time favorite chews, the Knee Cap! It’s the perfect teething treat for puppies, as well as for older dogs. Not too big, not too small. Covered in smoky, meaty bits, dogs go nuts for it. And the rounded structure, designed to bear the weight of a half ton creature, is very sturdy. How much more could you ask for in a giveaway?! So click this sentence and scroll down in the new window to enter the contest, for your dog’s sake. I figure if I’m eliciting sympathy for myself, I might as well do it for your dog, right? Do this for your dog.
Spreading the good chews …
