Stuffed Bone Giveaway
A stuffed bone makes for a happy dog, and the Bandit’s Bone is one of Jones Natural Chews best sellers. We’ve featured the Bandit’s Bone here before, and we’re giving one lucky dog its very own long-lasting chew! Say hello to the Bandit’s Bone and a lucky Tulsa dog who posed with it, Liza.
Liza is up for adoption. Her story was featured just a couple of weeks ago, here (click this sentence). She fell madly in love with the stuffed bone, and I took several hundred photos of her enjoyment of the treat. I couldn’t help it. Look at her! She’s gorgeous.
Bandit’s Bone
Here’s what Jones Natural Chews has to say about their stuffed bone, the Bandit’s Bone:
Bandit’s Bones are a 4″ all-natural USA white bare bone filled with beef. These extremely popular bones will keep small to medium size dogs busy for hours digging for the awesome treat buried inside. All Jones products are 100% grown and made in the USA.
Product Info: 6.5 – 13 oz. each / 4″ long / best for small to medium size dogs
Ingredients: 4″ Beef Bone, Beef, Molasses, Natural Mixed Tocopherols (preservative), Rosemary Extract
Not overly large, at four inches, the chew has only five ingredients. As always, the ingredients are all natural ones, nothing artificial. They’re also all grown and produced in the USA, as always. No dog I’ve met has been able to resist this stuffed bone. And I love that the beef filling is hard packed, not soft, with no air bubbles. This means two things:
- The filling lasts a lot longer, since it’s tougher to chew
- There’s more filling, since it’s a hard pack, so more treat for your buck
My boss’s dog gets to the middle of the bone and can’t reach the stuffing with her tongue. She throws the stuffed bone in the air and lets it drop to the hard floor in an attempt to dislodge the stuffing. Smart dog. So, you could say that the frantic efforts to retrieve that yummy Jones goodness makes dogs smarter. But don’t quote me on that.
Long-Lasting Stuffed Bone
Liza chewed and chewed for what seemed forever, but barely made a dent in the stuffed filling. She worked it pretty hard. Her foster mom says that the Bull Terrier has been bred for looks more than functionality, so her jaw doesn’t open very wide, making it a little more difficult for her to get the stuffing. I suspect one of the other dogs in the house will finish the job, though.
In my own house, my four dogs have been tackling a Bandit’s Bone for a week. There’s still about 60% of the filling in the bone. I love that this bone is so long-lasting! And I could smear a little peanut butter in the empty bone if I needed to buy more me time.
