It’s a Q&A day, according to the Follow Up Friday blog hop, sponsored by Jodi at Heart Like a Dog. I have to play catch up, as well. But we’ll start with Jodi’s questions from last Friday:
Seriously you live behind a Sonic? I’d have thought you were somewhere a little more rural. Question on RG, how did you end up with him?
Yes, I live behind a Sonic and a CarMax. Across the street from a Big Lots and a McDonalds. Seriously. I have a moderate size back yard with a privacy fence. It’s very convenient to the highway and everything else. And it’s not a farm. Just a suburban lot. Isn’t that awesome?!? I’m living the dream …
Ryan Gosling – he lost his family while crossing the road when only about a day old. They left him, poor little thing. A friend found him and brought him to me. She thought I needed another backyard bird …
From Oz the Terrier:
Oh Miss Flea, will you miss Ryan when he decides to fly away?
Honestly, Oz? I’m not sure yet. I think that Ryan is keeping the hawks away from my yard. And now that Petey is gone, he and Jimmy are getting pretty chummy. At the same time, goose poop? You should see the flies …
Gizmo weighs in:
Love watching the bunnies and dogs play…Wasn’t it Frankie the doxie who had bunny friends in his yard?
I’m afraid I don’t know Frankie, Gizmo. URL? I’d love to meet him! And here’s another dog and bunny photo, just for fun.
On Tuesday, when I clarified the difference between a Bully Stick and a Steer Stick (not a post you’d want to miss), Emma had one more question –
And one last thing to clear up…brown cows are the ones that give chocolate milk, right?
Yes, Emma. Brown cows give chocolate milk. Red cows give strawberry milk. White cows give plain milk. Black cows give coffee milk. Goats give milk that makes cheese!
Houndstooth grew up on a farm and already knew the difference in bovine anatomy. She asks:
Do you want me to tell you about a ram, a ewe, a wether, a gimmer and a lamb? :P
Yes! Yes I do!!! I know a ram from a ewe, gender wise, and a lamb is a baby, but what are the other two?
Stella has an interesting question:
I loved the look of your bunny Humperdink, I wouldn’t mind if we had a nice little bunny. Where could I get one?
Well, I found Humperdink on Craigslist. I was actually looking for a bunny (WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?), and found him, his cage and food for fifty bucks. But fall is coming, and maybe you could attend your state fair, find people who raise bunnies? Then you could find the type of rabbit you’d really like.
Thank you to everyone who responded to yesterday’s post. Petey’s new mom says that he’s doing very well in his new environment. Jimmy was sad for about 24 hours, but I let him hang out with Ryan (I’d kept the two apart till now, but Ryan is bigger than Jim, now) and the two are getting on quite nicely.
Also, it’s our first year blogaversary month, so I’ll be giving away another treat next week! The winner for this week’s will be announced this coming Monday. And if you don’t win? You can always find Jones full product line at Natural Dog Treat Shop!
Oh! Last but not least! I thought some of you might like to see Ginger’s big modeling debut! Jill is an amazing photographer and did a phenomenal job with Ginger. The blue eyed props aren’t half bad looking, either.
Until I write again …
