Say cheese! It’s the day after Christmas – did you take a family photo? Did you get photos with your dogs? Does your dog smile for photos? Mine sure don’t. Check out my lazy puppies on Christmas Day.
One too many Jones Natural Chews and they spend the day in a Christmas stupor. Poor dears. No say cheese photos for them. Luckily for us this Funny Bone Monday, I found some great smiling dogs on YouTube! And stay tuned to see who won the Wheezer Stix! But first, a smiling dog who impresses news people.
Right? Let’s see another.
We can do better than this, right?
Hmm. That’s a little better. This say cheese thing is tough. Those smiles look fierce. Let’s try one more.
The babies are just darling. I’m smiling. Are you? Let’s move on to the winner part of our post!
The last two weeks our hosted giveaway has been for Wheezer Stix from Jones Natural Chews! These yummy esophagus slices make dogs smile! If your dog knows Say Cheese, it will definitely smile without hesitation when it sees a Wheezer. My dogs sure do! And the random number generator chose a winner based on her view of our Jones Facebook page! The winner is …
Congratulations, Ellie! Drop me a line and I’ll have those sent out right away!
I know I’m done with chemo (believe me, I KNOW), but I’m still dealing with the after effects of chemo and radiation. What? This is the first you’ve heard of radiation side effects? I seriously wasn’t going to discuss this side effect, but I’ve been open and honest so far. Why should my personal embarrassment stand in the way of educating the public? Because that’s what these updates are about. God forbid one of my friends, or even a stranger, should have colon or rectal cancer and not know the possible issues with treatment. It hasn’t been as bad as it could be, but this one is a real pain.
First, because it was rectal cancer, the radiation treatments were targeted very low on my trunk. They did their job, disintegrating the tumor, but they left behind an ugly issue. Incontinence. Yes. One of those things we just don’t discuss in polite conversation. But cancer is evil and doesn’t discriminate. It takes what it wants because it can. And it took my ability to feel when I still have something left in the tank. Dang it. So I see a urologist next month and we discuss next steps.
Second, the neuropathy – I’m having a difficult time telling whether it’s healing or getting worse. Isn’t that crazy? It’s either getting better, since the pain and tingling is improving, or it’s getting worse and just becoming numb. Tough call. I’m going with getting better. That works for me. I’m taking a B vitamin complex and alpha lipoic acid tablets, as well as Hunny rubbing my feet with a pepper lotion for circulation. Better it is!
On that lovely note I’ll let you go. Enjoy your post-Christmas Monday! Because I’m believing that my hands and feet are improving, I’m breaking out the camera and taking real dog photos! And come back tomorrow to see what Jones Natural Chews is giving away next!
Spreading the good chews …
