Ever have random photos which tell random stories, but not long enough stories to fill a post? Yeah. That. Today we have random photos and random stories. Some actually tie together. This little girl, for instance:
Is tied to this knife:
Here’s the deal on how a baby Chihuahua and a shiny fleshing knife are related – I drove an hour, yummy bag of Jones Natural Chews taffies and jerkies in my car, to pick up rabbit pelts. The lady who raises the rabbits also happened to have a baby Chihuahua, Sissy (hence the treats). She let me and my boy hold the sweet little thing. The rabbit pelts? I’ll be teaching a small homeschooling class of high schoolers a lesson in tanning furs. They’re studying the pioneers in history and the teacher asked me to enlighten them about what it took to be a pioneer. A smelly, messy pioneer. I have no idea how we’re going to tan hides inside a church building in January. This should be LOADS of fun. But see? Connected.
Next!
He’s hefting a sharp hatchet, matching the sharp fleshing knife. I can’t split logs with a fleshing knife, though. Here’s to a warm winter with plenty of firewood!
Chewy has been a treat hog lately. Well. If by treat hog you mean looking as cute as it’s possible for a dog to look, hence being given treats because I just can’t help myself, then Chewy has been a treat hog. *ahem*
One last set of random photos and random stories. This was my Hunny’s Christmas gift:
Hunny was so excited to get a tank for Christmas. It didn’t take long for him to turn it into exactly what he wanted, on the cheap. It helps that our local PetCo is closing this month, so everything is deeply discounted. But how does this tank tie in with the cat?
It doesn’t tie in at all. See? Random photos. Random stories. A great way to start the new year!
Speaking of starting the new year, Chewy, Flash and Patches all decided that I have to start every day of 2015 by giving them a treat before anything else. So. I should probably back away from the computer and find the bag of Jones Beef Liver Taffy …
Until I write again …
