I met the sweetest little family at Total Pet Expo, and they were hawking their wares. It’s a product they designed and really believe in, so I asked for a sample Poochie Bowl to bring home and show y’all.

These Poochie Bowls come in a variety of bright colors. You can even order a wrap for the bowl with your favorite football team’s logo. I’ll tell you the story as it was told to me, as well as the benefits of this bowl.

The Poochie Bowl creators are travelers. They live in their RV every weekend, and they take their family Basset Hound with them nearly everywhere they go, so they were looking for the perfect food and water bowl. Turns out they had to design their own. Why?
Bassets, as most of you know, have very long ears. Ears which get soaked when the dogs drink from regular doggy water bowls. The Poochie Bowl has a narrow opening for the long snout, and the long ears miss it completely.

Traveling with a water bowl presents some issues. One, most bowls tend to skid when the dog drinks or eats. And the motion of travel either moves the bowl around or dumps the water. Poochie Bowl solves this two ways. The lid which comes with it seals the water in for future use.

And it attaches to the bottom to make the bowl non-skid.

Cool, huh? Also, the Poochie Bowl holds up to three cups in the center well. I put Chewy’s daily food allowance in the bowl to show you how much (how little) a wee Affenpinscher eats.

It’s not much.
Also! If you have a voracious eater, a dog which gulps its food in two seconds, the bowl can be flipped and used as a feeder to slow down your dog.

Way cool. I love this bowl! Did I mention that it’s top rack dishwasher friendly?
Last, but not least, the bowl is virtually indestructible. The creator of the Poochie Bowl backed over it with his SUV to prove that it would hold up to pressure. And I don’t know about you, but I would leave the dog’s bowl outside if I was traveling, and it would be run over ALL THE TIME.
In addition to indestructible, it’s USA made (which Jones fans love), and BPA free food grade plastic. I love it! In fact, I love it so much that I’m going to take it down the street and try it out on Elvis the Basset.

So I know I was late posting today, but I hope this was worth waiting for. I’m so glad to have met this family. I hope you try their Poochie Bowl!
Until I write again …
