Do y’all remember when I wrote a post about PACT for Animals? I LOVE this organization! They bring dogs and pets belonging to military families, or long term hospital patients, together with foster families. It’s a win/win, since a family gets to love on the pets while the original family is away, but the animals go back to their family of origin when they return home.

The Jones siblings, at Jones Natural Chews, got together and decided they love this group, PACT for Animals, as much or more than I do. More, because they’re putting their money where their mouth is and are sending it to PACT every month to help with their expenses. Actually, Jones surprised PACT for Animals by calling them and asking if they could give them money. I’m led to believe that it was an awkward conversation, since things like that don’t usually happen. And I probably shouldn’t have told you that, but it made me laugh to hear it, while crying happy tears that PACT is being helped in their mission.
PACT for Animals is a champion of the Human-Animal Bond. PACT gives peace of mind to hospital patients and military personnel by placing their pets in temporary foster homes until their owners can be reunited with the companion animals they love.
We are the ONLY active non-profit organization in the country providing this unique, essential service in the animal welfare community, and all PACT Programs are FREE! PACT carefully screens every case to find the perfect match of Foster Home and Foster Pet. Foster families are in constant contact with the military/hospitalized owners providing regular updates, including photos, messages and videos of their beloved pets. For many people in a hospital bed, on deployment, or in another crisis situation, these emails are a comfort for their raw nerves, and the best thing they see all week!
What does PACT do, you ask? They’re just matching pets with foster families, right? Here’s what PACT for Animals has to say.
Our animal foster home placement is a no-cost service for our military and critically ill patients all around the country. We want to keep this mission going strong and help as many people as possible, so every donation makes a big difference!
Make a difference in the lives of our military and hospital patients- save an animal from pet abandonment today, and keep a loving family united tomorrow!
PACT for Animals does a ton of behind the scenes stuff to make sure the animals and people are well matched, including transportation halfway across the country at times. They’re an awesome group.
So! Next time you see an ad on Craigslist or FaceCrack saying a military member is being deployed and their dog or cat needs a home or it will go to the pound, or someone has been hospitalized long-term and the dog or cat have to go, send them to the PACT for Animals website. It will make a difference. Things just don’t have to be that way anymore. And doesn’t that make your heart happy? It does mine. And it makes my heart happy that I work for a company which prioritizes not only animals, but their people.
Now y’all go enter the giveaway. And visit PACT’s website. I’ll see you tomorrow!
Until I write again …
