Newborn Lamb, FBM 70

May 5, 2014

So this weekend we had a newborn lamb.

Bob the lamb
This is Bob the lamb. He followed me everywhere. I love him.

Less than 24 hours, but I fell head over heels in love with little Bob the lamb.  Isn’t he the cutest thing EVER?! I asked my boss if I could bring him to Blog Paws.

Smug little lamb
Hmm. Bob looks a little like Chewy.

So for today’s Funny Bone Monday, we get cute lamb videos! It’s spring! It’s the lambing season! And stay tuned for cute lamb and dog photos.

Was that not ADORABLE?!? Watch the next one! Too cute! These are older than Bob, for sure.

Here are sheep and goats yelling like humans. HILARIOUS!

OMD – check this one out.

I bottle fed Bob several times. Sweetest thing ever. Next is a wee lamb in Montana. The park keeper explains a little bit about the lamb, age and ability.

Bob’s story? A friend sends me a message asking if I knew of anyone who’d take a free lamb. Yeah, my friends tend to ask me where to get rid of cute farm animals. It just so happened that I knew someone. Turns out my friend’s friend was scanning Craigslist and saw an ad for a lamb that was bottle fed just in time for a Cinco de Mayo feast. She couldn’t just let that one go, so she bough the lamb without knowing what to do with it. The next day, Sunday, Bob was at my house. And this morning I’m taking Bob to the country to live with the family who adopted the chicks. This family, who let me milk a goat and sent me home with the goat milk I fed Bob.

Milking a goat
Mama and daughter milking a goat. This sweet girl graduated kindergarten the night before and has found a lucrative career in goat milking at the tender age of six.

Bob snuggled with some children yesterday, too.

Children with a cute lamb
I think they’re afraid it will run away if they let it go, but OMD – how cute is this?!

Oh! And my own dogs – well, Flash drooled the entire time, but left the lamb alone. Chewy followed Bob around licking his butt and eating his poop. Gross.

a dog and a lamb
The Aussie and the Lamb – Bob was pretty comfortable with Flash, but not with hyper Chewy.

So that was our lamb adventure! Come back tomorrow for the monthly treat giveaway! You won’t want to miss these Jones Natural Chews. And definitely come by the Jones booth if you’re at Blog Paws this week!

Until I write again …
