April is the month for the A to Z blogging challenge. Today’s A is All Natural! What better way to start the month – and a giveaway – than what Jones Natural Chews is known for? And what are we giving away today? Why, it’s the winner’s choice of a Knee Cap

… or Dog Candy! Beef Liver Taffy Dog Candy, to be exact.

Straight up, the Beef Liver Taffy Snapz are irresistible all natural treats that no dog can say no to. I have yet to meet a dog that won’t eat the Beef Liver Taffy from Jones. Dogs of all sizes love them. I tear one stick into tiny pieces for Chewy and we can go through multiple Sit-Down-Stay sessions on one stick. He’s highly treat motivated.

As for the Knee Caps, they’re not very large, but Jones says that because they’re the bone covering a joint, they’re one of the strongest, toughest treats they sell. Good news for small to medium dogs with a fierce jaw and need to chew.
How do you know which all natural bone or chew is right for your dog? Jones recommends:
Choose a bone that is the right density and size for your dog. The bone should be larger than your dog’s mouth. Pork bones and lamb bones are soft bones and are only for smaller, light chewers. Beef bones are good for most chewers. Beef shank and knee caps are the hardest bones for aggressive chewers.
If large slivers or pieces are breaking off, take it away and try another type. Bones are not intended to be ingested, but chewed and gnawed on. Knuckles will be consumed and will leave a hard bone piece to gnaw.
Great advice for owners of dogs of all sizes. But I have a puppy and we’re still learning his chewing capacity. For a small dog, he sure gets into chewing trouble! I’m looking forward to giving him the Knee Cap and seeing if he can tackle it. We’ll talk more, later, about puppies and their chewing needs.
I’m sure you’re asking, about now, What do *I* need to do to win one of these glorious all natural, 100% grown and made in the USA treats from Jones? Not much.
- Leave a comment telling me what kind of dog you have (I have two mutts and an Affenpinscher) and which treat you think it would like
- Be a US resident
- Leave said comment before midnight CST (Tulsa time) on Thursday, April 3rd
I think that’s it. I hate contests and giveaways with a bunch of rules and hoops to jump through.

My apologies for being AWOL yesterday. Nasty ick and a visit to Urgent Care. On the mend now. Quality time with the dogs and the duck have been beneficial. Come back tomorrow and see what the letter B has in store for us! I’m thinking we’ll all love this A to Z challenge!
Until I write again …
