Name That Dog

July 2, 2014

IF YOU HAVEN’T ENTERED THE GIVEAWAY, DO IT NOW!

Today’s Wordless Wednesday will be Name That Dog! I attended the Steel City Expo on Saturday and met some GORGEOUS dogs. I’ve honestly never seen so many breeds in one place. But I don’t remember all of their breeds, even though I asked the owners. So! Your job today is to NAME THAT DOG! So I don’t feel like so much of an idiot. Some of the dog breeds are obvious, but others, not so much. Play along, will you?

Sweet Chinese Crested
1 – Here’s the first contestant on Name That Dog! Your first dog is an easy one. Name That Dog!
Bloodhound
2 – These will get a little tougher at the end. I promise. Name That Dog!
Great Dane Puppy
3 – See that blurry tail? This is one happy puppy, only 13 months old and still putting on weight. Name That Dog!
Irish Setter
4 – This handsome dog was full of energy and had the most beautiful coat I’ve ever seen. Not that I’m partial to redheads or anything. Name That Dog!
English Bulldog
5 – Look at this rogue! So solid and good looking. Name That Dog!
Newfoundland
6 – The owner says that this mammoth beast does not eat rocks, but I know one like him that does. Name That Dog!
Staffordshire Terrier
7 – A fierce countenance, this dog is actually a real sweetheart. And no, it doesn’t drink beer. I won’t be asking that question again. Name That Dog!
English Sheepdog
8 – This is a trick question dog. It had been shaved, so we didn’t know the breed until we asked. Do you? He’s a big fella and looks like Sprocket from Fraggle Rock! Name That Dog!
Japanese Chin
9 – Honest to Pete, I thought I knew what this dog was, but it looked a little off. Which is because I didn’t know what it was. Do you? Name That Dog!
Afghan Hound
10 – So elegant and refined, while being larger than life, I always mix this dog up with the next one. Name That Dog!
Irish Wolfhound
11 – Also tall and lovely, this dog is a little more rugged. Name That Dog!
Mystery dog
12 – I’m sorry that I didn’t capture the face of this dog, but its boots were beautifully spotted. Its owner says there are only about 2,000 of its kind in the world, and I can’t remember now what it is. Name That Dog! Please?

Y’all, I was overwhelmingly impressed with the variety of breeds represented in Pittsburgh! There were several more photos, but I need to stop here. And you need to hop over to yesterday’s post if you haven’t already entered to win the treats! As well as hopping over to Pooch Smooches, 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog (and sing along with Jodi’s song)! You can’t win yummalicious treats if you don’t comment!

And if you’re looking for Jones Natural Chews and can’t find them near you, drop me a line. If *I* can’t find them near you, pop over to Natural Dog Treat Shop and order to your heart’s content!

Until I write again …
