Month of Gratitude
I’m horrible at keeping up with themes and things, but I think a month of gratitude is in order, traditional in the US for the month of November. I, personally, have much to be grateful for, including, right now, my very life. We caught cancer before it took over my body and became inoperable. Gratitude is such a small word for what I feel. But let’s talk turkey, shall we?
What I’m really grateful for is Jones Natural Chews. Don’t believe me? Prior to blogging for Jones I had a personal blog, worked with small children and was sick all the time. My world was small. It was rich in small ways. Since working for Jones Natural Chews, my world has expanded ten fold. I work with dogs, and they don’t give me colds which turn into bronchitis or pneumonia. I connect with all the most lovely dog people around the country and can truly call many of them close friends. But mostly?
It’s About the Dogs, People
My gratitude stems from my furry, four footed friends. It’s about the dogs! When I think of gratitude, I can’t think of a better expression of it than the way dogs respond to humans.
Dogs express gratitude so well. I watch my own dogs quiver then relax when they’re happy. It’s beautiful. And every dog I’ve ever met has been thankful to this stranger for bringing them Jones Natural Chews.
I think I’d been at the above house for about an hour and River, totally new to me dog, had gnawed off all the yummy, meaty bits from this Jumbo Bone. She was a grateful dog. I’d say she followed me around the yard, but she was too busy gnawing on this giant bone covered in meat bits.
My own dogs respond to Jones in a way I’ve never seen other dogs do. I’d say it’s become old hat, but after four years, they still give me this face when I pull out even the smallest treat from Jones.
This old man’s eyes light up like this every time I scratch his rump or give him a Jones treat. Flash is nearly deaf and blind, but his nose knows a good thing. Sometimes I pelt him from across the room with bits of Sausage Sticks or Big Paw Jerky. He doesn’t mind a bit and catches on quickly. He has priorities, you know. Speaking of priorities …
