My job is making dogs smile, naturally. Well, actually, Jones Natural Chews job is making dogs smile. I’m a facilitator. It’s a good job description. Smile Facilitator. Maybe I’ll ask Suzy to put that on my next batch of business cards. Take a look at who’s smiling this week:
And:
Handsome fur babies belonging to a friend of my children. Her mom allowed me to photograph them on Friday (yes, I invited myself to her house to give her dogs treats and take their photos – sometimes that makes humans smile, too). Let’s see what I gave them:
Flint seriously wanted the Bully Bone. I had to grab my keys to unwrap it. Y’all, Jones shrink wraps the treats like nobody’s business. Ain’t no germs gettin’ in or out. So once it’s open, Flint is the first to try the Bully Bone.
Except Boomer came over and started a fight to get the bone, even though Boomer is about a third Flint’s size. I wasn’t about to reach between them, so I gave Flint a piece of Beef Liver Taffy. They smell pretty strong and the lure worked. Boomer took the Bully Bone. The moral of this story: determine the alpha dog before doling out treats.
Next up was the Braided Bully. I tried again with Flint.
Unfortunately, Flint is young and wants pets more than treats. I’m sure there are all kinds of analogies packed into that statement. Unpack them at your leisure. What I’m saying is, Boomer buried the Bully Bone and came back for the Braided Bully before Flint made a dent in it. So I spent the next ten minutes scratching Flint and giving him meaty taffies from Jones.
I’ve said it before, and I’mma say it again – Jones Natural Chews are:
- 100% all natural – no artificial ingredients, ever
- 100% grown and made in the USA, always
- Mostly meat and bones – so far as I know, there’s no more than eight ingredients in any treat, and most treats are just one or two ingredients
- Guaranteed to make dogs smile*
My thanks to Athena and her mother for letting me invade the back yard and treat their dogs. It was truly delightful. If you’re local (Tulsa), let me know. I’ll come treat your dogs, too.
If, right about now, you’re asking yourself where you can find Jones Natural Chews, and if they’re too expensive for your dog, the second question is a lot easier to answer than the first. Considering that they’re mostly meat, all natural and made in the USA, the cost is surprisingly low. As to where, Jones is in a lot of small pet stores around the country, as well as in some feed stores. Atwoods, a central-southern feed store, carries them, for instance. If you can’t find them locally, ask me. I’ll do all I can to find a store for you. Or if you prefer ordering online, Natural Dog Treat Shop carries their entire line of treats!
So! Come back tomorrow when I tell the story of Chewy, our new adoption!
Until I write again …
