Y’all, I’ve dubbed this trip to Louisiana the Make Dogs Smile Road Trip. Seriously, I’ve met up with three adorable dogs already and have treated them all to smiles via Jones Natural Chews. Lookit!

This is Aria, a Chihuahua mix owned by my good friend, Karen, of Amusing Designs. They live out in the country near Texarkana and she and her daughter were so sweet as to treat myself and my son to a fabulous lunch. The very LEAST I could do was to give her wee dog Chicken Taffy! Oh yeah – Aria liked the Chicken Taffy. Smiles all around.

This tiny English Bulldog was being walked by his new family from Mississippi. His mama let me give him a Jones Big Paw Jerky bit, as well as a Chicken Taffy bit. He was a lot more curious about us, his new friends, than he was about the treats.

We were strolling the grounds with my cousins, who graduated Tech, and their cute kidlets. For a sense of scale on this puppy, here’s my four year old wee cousin giving it a kiss.

We went back to their house and were greeted by Duke, the family’s Lab mix.
Duke is a sweet six year old dog. It was my job to make Duke smile and I think I was successful.

Duke LOVED the Windee. He immediately walked away from me and crossed the yard. My cousin said he would bury it, like he does his other treats, but he demolished it, instead. I even watched as Duke stood and licked the ground for crumbs.

What a sweetheart.
So this is the last Tuesday in October! Next month we’ll move on to new treats and a new giveaway. Since I’m travelling, I’m going to leave you with a couple of cute photos – well, it’s family, so I think they’re cute. Indulge me.

And guess what, Houndstooth? I had fried pickle chips! And they were GOOD!!!

Oh y’all. That’s all I have the energy for. This baby niece of mine has worn me out. OMD! Did I forget to post a photo of the baby?! Here! Quick! Before I go into withdrawals!

One week old today and nearly six pounds of *SQUEEEEEE*
Until I write again …
