Yes, I’m looking for a couch. Next week is a ROAD TRIP! I. Am. So. EXCITED! I just love a good road trip. And when I drive, I am looking for a couch.
Specifically, I’m looking for a couch in or near Springfield, MO, Little Rock, AR, Poplar Bluff, MO, or anyplace about halfway between Tulsa and Nashville. Yes, I’d like to stay at your house for just one night. I’ll bring your dog the very best all natural meat treats. Depending on when I stop, I might have a dozen fresh eggs.
So who’s up for an adventure? Is it you? Would you put a virtual friend up for an evening? Be warned, if I haven’t interacted with you online prior to today, I won’t say yes. I just don’t know where everyone lives, so I’m putting out feelers.
I don’t have issues with hotels. I don’t. I love a good hotel bed. But even more? I love meeting my online friends in person and spending time with them. Sharing a meal with someone goes a long way toward cementing a friendship.
Okay, so there was this one time, when I drove to Illinois to visit Jones Natural Chews for the first time, that I stopped somewhere in Missouri and bought fresh eggs from an adorable six year old girl. It was the middle of nowhere and I was looking for a jigsaw puzzle museum. The beauty of road trips is that you can stop wherever you want, just because. The eggs led to my asking about the chickens. Which led to a tour of her small chicken farm.
That road trip was the bomb. I was looking for a couch and found two! One in Volo, IL, and one with a friend’s daughter and family in southern Illinois. I’ve stayed in quite a few guest and play rooms since then, and I’ve loved every one of them.
So! If I know you here, I’d like to know you there! Leave a comment and I’ll get back to you with details, see if you’re going to be home when I’m passing through. I’d love to meet you in the fur. I’d love to bring your dog treats! It’ll make your dog smile. Naturally. 🙂
Until I write again …
