Today is a Linky Love This’n’That Thursday! Quite a few of my friends have good things to say today, so think of this post as a resource today. We’ll start with some old news, but fun stuff. It’s March, and that means that Oz is up to his rhyming tricks, creating dog limericks! I’d like to share the limerick he wrote for me last year!

How pawsome is that?!? The great and powerful Oz the Terrier totally rocks the cat box. And yes, I’m pretty sure I sent him some yummy Jones Natural Chews as a thank you.
With more Linky Love, someone asked me, this weekend, what to do if their dog will only eat treats, not dog food. What I wanted to say, but didn’t, is that if they stopped feeding treats, the dog would get hungry and eat its food after a couple of days. I figured that knee-jerk response was probably WRONG, so I asked Dear Labby. Let’s see what she has to say, shall we? Point one is:

- Check the ingredients. Treats typically have fewer ingredients and so less artificial fillers & preservatives, etc. Her dog may just prefer the taste of the treats. The treats may be beef and her food primarily chicken and she just doesn’t like the taste of chicken.

Dear Labby went on with other check points that make a lot of sense. You can read it for yourself, here. Good advice, Dear Labby! Thank you! Hmm. Now I’m wondering if Jones meaty chews would make good food …
Our third Linky Love shout out goes to Emma, the GBGV! An amber alert system is currently being put into place for lost pets. I love this! Micro chipping is great, but not everyone has micro chipped their pets. Flash and Patches aren’t micro chipped, but Chewy is. Check out her post!
To bring it home, Emma was out walking with her human this morning and another dog, no tags, walked with them for an hour. Emma’s mom brought the dog to the police, which is what any decent human being would do if they’d found a human child wandering the streets. But we don’t tend to do that with dogs. Why is that? I think the mentality of an Amber Alert for pets will help with this issue. There’s no worse feeling than having an escaped dog that you can’t find, then finding out someone has just kept your dog for days instead of alerting the authorities. Authorities can be a rescue, vets, Craigslist, signs posted, etc. Don’t just keep stray dogs.
The fourth Linky Love is Dawn, at American Dog Blog, and a review she wrote about Jones Natural Chews bones awhile back. Her dogs, Maya and Pierson, loved the bones. Of course. Heh. But I love the review, and the video of Pierson doing tricks for a bone!
Last, but not least, is a children’s book, Tristan Wolf. Y’all are going to love Tristan. In fact, I wrote an Amazon review about the book. I adore good children’s literature and illustrations and thought this book was charming. Check it out.
And that’s it! Come back tomorrow for the continuing saga of Chewy’s puppy training experience, including another dog owner’s sad tale. And please, subscribe to the blog if you haven’t already. I post five days a week, and we have fun weekly features that you won’t want to miss!
Until I write again …
