Y’all, I seriously debated whether or not to post a Funny Bone Monday today. Between last Friday’s events and the funerals today, it’s difficult to smile, much ask other people to smile. But I thought maybe smiling wasn’t a bad thing. I understand that there is a season for everything, so if you’re not ready for this, come back another day. Otherwise, I hope these videos lift your spirits a bit.
Watching a dog play fetch is always fun, but playing fetch with a stationary object? More fun.
Isn’t that fun? It would have been even MORE fun if the statue had been one of Colonel Sanders, yes? Yes.
This next one is something I never would have thought to do with a dog, but the dog in the video seems to be enjoying himself. Herself. Itself. Whatever.
Watching this next pup is just hilarious. Poor little pooch, having mama play tricks on it like that. But funny!
Alright – I truly laughed out loud when watching this next one. It’s not hilariously funny. It just made me chuckle because it’s so dang cute. And it made me think I need my own sound track. How many of you have your own sound track? My Hunny swears I already have one, but I think when he watches me there’s just one in his head for me. It scares me a little, quite frankly.
Now y’all, this next video is a little long. Save it for later if you’re short on time. But it’s a TED talk and well worth the time. The video is about training dogs. It actually goes hand-in-hand with the book I’ll be giving away tomorrow. But take a few minutes to appreciate with this guy has to say, m’kay?
Last video, I promise. I shot this one this afternoon while I was out with Jimmy and Petey. Petey has become a little bugger, an adolescent puppy duck. He’s taken to biting Flash on the nose, which even Jimmy knows better than to do. He bites the chickens. He nibbles on deer flesh when I’m working on the hides (like yesterday), and he devours coconut by the handful. Last, but not least, he nibbles on ME. Stinker.
But his daddy, Jimmy, is a jealous duck. Yes he is. He’s also a vain duck.
And that’s it. Saying prayers for families all over Newtown. Getting ready for Christmas. I’ll see y’all tomorrow.
Until I write again …
