Funny Bone Monday, 31

July 8, 2013

Happy Funny Bone Monday! Today we announce last week’s treat winner (which I’ll do at the end of the post), and deliver cute videos designed to start your week off right! First, funny story.

Rabbits eat dog food?!?
True story – Humperdink eats dog food. I told Slim Doggy that they’re right, I need to switch to a higher protein food for my dogs if my rabbit is eating it. Sheesh! When he’s home from the vet, I’m going to see if he likes Jones Big Paw Jerky.

So I took Humperdink in this morning to have his procedure done. I think the entire veterinary office came out to look at the cute bunny. I come home and there’s a front yard full of chickens! The “babies” have learned that they can fly to the top of our six foot privacy fence and flutter down to the other side.  They don’t know what to do with themselves once they’ve crossed to the other side, however. So I think the answer to the age-old question of why the chicken crossed the road might be, “Because it could.”

Cute bunny butt
In case you don’t know, this is the end Humperdink is having parts removed from.

Today’s videos are fun dog commercials. The first is a series of three. The middle one is … weird. I thought Lindsay might like it, since she has a thing for retractable leashes. 😉

The next commercial features a way cool center bone. I wonder if it’s a Jones center bone? It must be Jones, given the way the dog treats it.

Hm. Suzy, have y’all looked into insuring the treats?

Okay, I’d never seen the next commercial. Imma tell ya straight up that my favorite part – twice – is when he turns off the light.

I like the other Old Spice commercials better, but that was cute.

Now, how many of you have a dog that will do what the dog in this next commercial does?

Not me. My dogs would rip someone to shreds. Well, I like to think they would. Maybe I’m just dreaming.

Y’all, this dog is Carma, but with the wrong accent, I swear.

So I’m sure y’all are wanting to know who won the Jones Steer Sticks from last week’s contest? Funny thing, that. It’s Miss Carma Poodale!!! Carma, congratulations! I know that not winning is a disappointment, but come back tomorrow for a chance to win ANOTHER treat! July is our month of giveaways!

One last photo? Ryan is still growing. He is ten weeks old now and handsome as can be. I’m thinking just another week or three before he can fly. He’s constantly stretching his wings.

My pet goose
Yes, I still pick him up and hold him. Yes, he poops bigger everyday.

Until I write again …
