Today’s Funny Bone Monday is a nod to last night’s Oscars. I’ll leave it to you to decide the winners, since that’s not a job for one person. Especially in the category of Best Costume Design:
I’m partial to the vampire costume near the end. 😀
In the category of Best Original Song, I give you three nominees. First is Dog Sings with Baby:
Next is a lovely duet. I’m partial to accordions, so my vote is leaning this direction.
Our last nominee is a truly talented dog, playing the piano and singing. I’m amazed.
I’m still partial to the accordion.
The next category is Best Animated Short Film. Our first nominee is a student film from Ringling College called Dog & the Butcher. This is my favorite category. Look see –
Our next nominee, Batman Dog, is another offering from Ringling.
I’ll be honest – this last one creeps me out a little, but it’s just unusual enough to grab the judges’ attention for a win. Tell me what you think:
Our final category is, of course, Best Actor in a Leading Role. Let’s get an overview of some animal actors first:
The Border Collie herding sheep is certainly promising. And our nominees are, Dog Acting Like a Car:
That made me smile, y’all. Our next is Jesse, Dog Acting as Personal Servant. This is one talented dog.
I’m impressed with how clean Jesse keeps the grout. Our final nominee is a surprise couple of ducks! Is this really a surprise? It’s Jimmy and Petey!
What acting skills did they show? Why bored and unimpressed, of course! I think they did rather well. 😉
Stay tuned tomorrow for an overview of Jones Natural Chews newest additions to the treat line! And don’t forget to sign up as an email subscriber if you enjoy the blog!
Until I write again …

P.S. While I was gone to sunny Orlando, Tulsa got a healthy dusting of snow. Yes, I missed the chickens’ and ducks’ first snow. But my mommy was kind enough to take pictures of them in snow. Thanks Mama!
