It’s January, people. I live in the middle of the country. This should be Frozen Friday. Not that I’ve seen the movie Frozen. I haven’t. I’ve even kept my virgin ears from hearing the songs. Still! It’s January! The whole world should look like this!
But it doesn’t. Our high today, here in Tulsa, will be 60 degrees. That’s not a Frozen Friday AT ALL. So disappointing. And how do the dogs feel about it? Well, Chewy is actually pretty stoked.
No. Really. He’s happy that there’s no snow or ice. See?
He really is. Chewy has a thin coat and gets cold easily. Not to mention his tiny feet on snow and ice. But the other two? Even at nearly 13 years old they look forward to cold weather. Their thick double coats beg for snow and ice. Frozen Friday would be a dream come true.
And what do we do when we come in from cold and snow? Well, dogs don’t really drink hot cocoa. They eat Jones Natural Chews instead. Having a Pig Ear Snack is a lot like having a cup of hot cocoa. For a dog. I assume.
I hope that your weather is shaping up the way you want it to. Mine’s not. But I’ll make the best of it and spend some time outdoors with the chickens and duck today. They appreciate the warmer weather in January most of all. Have a great weekend, everyone, and treat your dogs to a Jones Natural Chew! It’ll make ’em smile. Naturally.
Until I write again …
