The Dogs of Jones Natural Chews, Francine

December 11, 2013

Welcome to another edition of The Dogs of Jones Natural Chews! Today’s dog lover extraordinaire is Francine, who works in Quality Control! Stay tuned, after the interview, to meet my gift exchange buddy via Pamela at Something Wagging This Way Comes!

Such handsome lads!

Francine, what was your exposure to animals growing up and do you have any dogs or animals now?
I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, etc. I own two dogs, two cats, three horses.
Black dog in a Jones chews sweater
That’s a mighty fine Jones Natural Chews sweater you’re wearing, Black Jack! You make it look good!

Oh, very cool! Horses rock. I’m quite jealous. How did you come by your dogs? What are their stories?
I purchased my lab at about 8wks of age. She is now 4, named Dezaray.  My little one is a mix, black and white dog, named BJ (Black Jack). I found BJ on the side of the road. I slowed down to keep from striking him with my car, but then he began following the car. Stopped the car, opened the door, he jumped in..my lab was with me and took right to him.  I researched the area for owners; called the local animal control to see if anyone was missing him, placed ads in paper to run in the three surrounding counties..no one responded.
Boy hypnotizes dogs
“I have the power to make them dance!” Kidding. BJ and Dez obviously love their boy. 🙂 They also love that Liver Taffy he’s holding aloft!

How very sad that no one claimed him. I’m so glad Black Jack found a home with y’all, though, and that Dezaray took to him! Do the dogs get along well together. You came by each of them in such different ways. They’re gorgeous, by the way!
So we welcomed him in our home. Dezi was happy that she received a playmate.  BJ was estimated to be about a year old according to our vet. We have had him for almost 4 yrs now.  Both dogs are very loving, playful, loyal, wonderful pets.
Yellow Lab puppy
Look at sweet Dezaray as a puppy! What a gorgeous Yellow Lab puppy she was!

I’m assuming your dogs love Jones Natural Chews. At least, I hope so! I haven’t met more than one or two dogs that don’t, and typically they’re one treat types of dogs. Which treats do Dezaray and Black Jack like?
Both the dogs love the liver taffy (see photo above). Also, big paw, woofers, and more.
The Liver Taffy is a big hit with nearly every dog I’ve met. I’m sure your dogs are not only grateful to have a home with you and your sweet family, but happy to get Jones chews! Thank you so much, Francine, for the lovely interview!

Now! Pamela, at Something Wagging This Way Comes, is hosting a Gift Exchange! I’m not sure if there’s still room to get in, but hop over and check!

.

I’ve been paired with none other than the lovely Tori, of Wear. Wag. Repeat! Y’all hop over and tell her hi for me, will ya? She’s got super cute taste and style. I’m hoping she rubs off on me before the month is over. 😉 We’ll be seeing more of her before all is said and done, I guarantee.

In other news, I’m heading for Rockford, Illinois, tomorrow! Hunny and I are taking a road trip up past Chicago. I’M SO EXCITED! And we’ll be staying in the home town of one of my favorite fellow bloggers, having supper with her this weekend! THERE WILL BE PHOTOS. LOTS AND LOTS OF PHOTOS. I’ll post them on Tuesday, since her pups will be opening their very own Holiday Chewer’s Gift Pack while I’m there. I’ll give you a tiny hint as to who she is – Pugs.

I’M SO EXCITED. Did I tell you that I’m excited?! I LOVE A ROAD TRIP!!!

Anywho. Y’all have a great Wednesday. I’ll be blogging from the road. And I’ll tell you all about the Jones Christmas party when I get back.

Until I write again …
