Happy Funny Bone Monday! Dogs afraid of cats? Surely not! Well, my friends on FaceCrack have been posting the most adorable dog videos just for me. Laughter is the very bet medicine. And dogs afraid of cats is most fun! Before we jump into the videos, I have to ask – HAVE YOU ENTERED THE GIVEAWAY? You know your dog wants you to win a yummy all natural Beef Knee Cap.
Now! Let’s take a look at some dogs afraid of cats!
This is NOT life in my house. My cats are fiesty, but the little dogs chase them all over the house.
Those poor puppies! And see, you can’t lure a cat away with a yummy treat. Cats aren’t wired that way. Any of those dogs? I’d say “treat” and hold up a Jones Natural Chews Beef Liver Taffy and the cat could just zoom away. But not cats. Cats are different. Here’s the process in progress.
Whupped. Those dogs are whupped.
Let me tell you a little story. This morning I walked out to feed the chickens and duck and the hens were all freaking out. Jimmy the Duck had his head stuck in the gate. There was blood everywhere. I know! It’s not a fun story. Sorry. I thought sure something had attacked him. Hunny came out with wire clippers to help me free Jimmy.
Y’all, I thought I was going to lose him right then and there. He was all limp, head hanging. So I brought him in the house, not able to figure out where all of the blood was. Put him in my bathroom in a big plastic bin lined with a t-shirt. I started pouring water over his bill, laced with organic apple cider vinegar. That’s my go-to remedy for sick birds. He drank the water as I poured it over his bill.
Not ten minutes later, as I’m in the living room calling the avian vet (no appointments till 3:30, and I’m convinced he’ll be dead by then), then the emergency vet, Hunny comes running out to tell me that Jimmy is fine. He’s quacking up a storm, fussing at Hunny.
I pour more water over his bill, encouraging him to drink. He starts preening. There’s a small bowl of water and raisin bran in the bucket with him. He turns it over.
So. I’ll be keeping an eye on Jim all morning. After pouring plenty of water over his bill, it looks as though there’s just a gash on his bill where he tried frantically to get his head out of the gate. He’s done this before, but always wiggled out. He must have panicked. Poor dear. I think he’s going to be fine, but if he takes a downward turn, we’re rushing to the emergency vet. Hopefully they’ll see a duck. And we’ll be installing a barrier low enough to keep this silly duck from doing this again. He’s a slow learner.
Y’all enter our giveaway, y’hear? And have a great Monday!
