Happy Funny Bone Monday, where our day is filled with funny dog videos! Today we look at dog whistles. And at the end of the post, I announce the winner of the Jones Natural Chews treats!
I’ve always been a little skeptical of the dog whistle. But this first video convinced me. Chewy kept raising his head every time the guy said “You almost can’t hear this at all.” Patches even left her quiet spot in the back of the house to come find the noise. Flash is going deaf, so he didn’t budge.
Pretty cool, huh? Did your dog respond? I downloaded the app. The higher the frequency, the more their ears perked up. Even Flash, hearing the dog whistle app on my phone, started barking, thinking it was something outside. The other two looked straight at me. Remarkable, the dog whistle. I’m definitely using this app again.
Here’s a sound experiment with different dog whistle frequencies. When it got to number five, all of the dogs jumped. So did I.
This next video is important. It explains the dynamics of the dog whistle, as well as the intent, what it will and will not do. Y’all, my dogs pick up their heads and ears and stare at me every time I play one of these videos.
I think, now that I have the app, that I’m going to train the two dogs who can hear to come at the sound of the dog whistle. So when they push the gate open and run down the street …
This next video made my dogs smile, almost as broadly as Jones chews make them smile.
