Y’all, we certainly do have some cute dog and kid videos today. This first one is SO dog. What a tenacious hound!
At least he retrieves lost gloves, eh? What kind of dog is he? He reminds me a little of Blueberry.
This next? The baby’s laugh makes me nearly wet myself laughing. Though I kept waiting for his little hand to get caught. *SPOILER* His hand doesn’t get caught.
This next one? I want to know how many of you get tongue tied trying it. Please?
Now this next one I include because it reminds me of a story. When my middle child, seen here:

was about the age of the baby in the video, he ate dog food. I couldn’t get him to stop eating dog food no matter what I tried, so I started buying the best dog food I could afford. No lie. I did. If he was eating dog food today, I’d probably get Jones Natural Chews for him to gnaw on, since the quality is great. My POINT is, he wouldn’t stop eating the dog’s food. So I got the bright idea to give him the baby meat sticks – Gerber toddler vienna sausage thingies. He totally stopped eating dog food. About the same time, he starting eating potting soil. Started giving him chewable multivitamins and he stopped eating dirt. True story. I kept him, though, and am glad I did.
Oh yeah. The video.
And maybe it’s just me? But this dog doesn’t seem to love this at all. Poor baby.
This child’s face, when she realizes she’s being upstaged by the dog, is priceless. I used to blow in my babies’ faces when they would cry. If blowing in the face made the crying stop, I figured they didn’t need to be picked up.
And here are my babies, a couple of years back, playing in the snow. Today it looks like it will snow. It feels cold enough. Icy drizzle is happening. But no snow. I think we may build a fire in the fireplace anyway, just because we can.
Y’all have a great Monday!
Until I write again …

P.S. Petey is turning out to be a real looker. Photos don’t do him justice, but there’s a green sheen to his head feathers, and a purple sheen tinging the tail feathers. Quite a handsome duck.
