My current obsession is our new puppy, Chewy, whom we believe is an Affenpinscher.
Who’s the cutest little puppy ever? Chewy is the cutest little puppy ever!
That said, cute only goes so far. This is –
- My Hunny’s dog, officially
- Still a puppy, chewing whatever is in reach, and EVERYTHING is in reach for this little goat-dog (that’s what the boys call him, goat-dog)
- Slightly spoiled – but only slightly
C’mon – doesn’t your lap dog eat only out of your hand? I mean, if I put out his tiny kibble in a bowl, the big dogs would eat it, right? Not to mention that Chewy won’t eat out of a bowl. He has to eat it out of my hand, or off of the couch while sitting next to me.
So here’s the deal – we start puppy obedience training on Sunday afternoon. Hunny and I will both be attending the classes, going for seven weeks. The first Sunday is an introduction, sans puppy. Only 75 bucks, which I like. And I’m a huge advocate of puppy obedience, but have never been to a class, so this should sharpen my blogging considerably. Heh.
I’m also a big fan of cute hats on critters. Like this.
But Hunny has put his foot down. No cute hats on his dog. Hmm. I’m still gnawing on that one. He swears it’s abuse, putting froo-froo hats on his manly little lap dog. I’m sorry – I couldn’t type that last sentence with a straight face. C’mon – Jimmy is one of the most manly critters I know and he looks AMAZING in a purple glittered hat, right?
If you’re questioning my coupling of manly and my duck, you obviously aren’t familiar with male ducks in spring. OBVIOUSLY.
*ahem* Back to puppy classes. The teacher called this morning and woke me (migraine days are sleep past 6:30 days) to tell me that I’d need to bring treats to class. I’m thinking I might bring enough treats for the entire class and hand out my card. Can I do that? This particular feed store chain doesn’t sell Jones Natural Chews, but the trainer isn’t an employee of this store. Hmm. We’ll see. I’m just thinking that it’s only fair to bring Jones treat baggies for the other puppies.
So! I’ll be keeping you all apprised of our puppy class journey as we go along. I’m sure you’ll be waiting with bated breath. Until then, grab some Jones Natural Chews for your own dog and make it smile, will ya?
Until I write again …
