This is a dog blog. A DOG BLOG. So when Hunny sent me a video stating that cats are the best alarm clocks, I almost didn’t publish it. Seriously, Hunny? Cats? No no no. Here it is, in all its cuteness. Then we’ll discuss the veracity of the assertion. Are cats the best alarm clocks?
Here’s some dog cuteness, in case the cats were too much.
I wish I had video to prove that Chewy is the best alarm clock. Every morning I get up, take the dogs out to go potty, make the coffee, start my morning routine. Chewy waits for me to stir before getting up. But once he’s back in the house, he races back to the bedroom, jumps on the bed and licks Hunny all over his face to wake him up. It’s the best alarm clock EVER. Well, Hunny loves it. But overall, dogs are much smarter than cats, right? They don’t like alarms any more than we do.
Don’t believe me?
Dogs know we should be sleeping in, snuggling with them. Not getting up just to feed them, like our demanding cats think we should be. And honestly, I’m only going to show you this next short video so I can show you Flash’s response to the Bulldog’s vocalizations.
Check it out:
And I’m just glad I don’t have this alarm clock.
So what’s the consensus? Do cats really make the best alarm clocks? Maybe. But dogs are smart enough to know not to wake their humans when they want to sleep in.
To wind things up, besides giving my dogs treats as a thank you for letting me sleep, I’ll leave you with a long video to watch at your leisure. This dog, Haatchi, deserves a big box of Jones Natural Chews. Too bad he lives in England, or I’d send him some myself. This video is definitely worth the ten minutes.
Did you tear up a bit? I did. Now go hug your dog. Give it a good treat. And I’ll see you tomorrow. Subscribe to the blog if you don’t want to miss a day!
Until I write again …
