Can’t Stop the Feeling
I have a new favorite song, Can’t Stop the Feeling, by Justin Timberlake. My friends know that all – ALL – of my favorite songs are Weird Al songs. And yes, this is a dog blog, but I’m just feeling this today. Do yourself a favor and open this in full screen, turn your speakers up, and DANCE. You’ll thank me. You seriously can’t stop the feeling.
I watch this video over and over, imagining that this is the human equivalent of how dogs feel when I give them Jones Natural Chews. Watch it again. Then give your dog a Beef Liver Taffy or a Woofer from Jones. You’ll see. Same thing.
Seriously. Can’t Stop The Feeling makes me feel like a dog wagging its tail furiously, not able to stop, just because it’s happy. Right? Maybe this is part of my recovery.
Basset Elvis
Speaking of recovery, y’all remember Elvis, the neighbor’s Basset Hound?
Elvis is an escape artist. He got loose yesterday afternoon and made his way to my house. The woman who let him out (the neighbor’s friend) came looking for him, frantic. I’d invited Elvis into the house and given him some Jones Natural Chews chicken taffy, making him a very happy boy. I let the woman in, thinking she’d grab his collar and walk him home. He walked right out past her. Long story short, I wound up chasing Elvis all over my own back yard and hauling him into the house myself. My stitches weren’t happy, but, ultimately, it was good exercise and great for my recovery. The woman, when I handed her a leash, stared at Elvis and asked, “How do I get it on the collar?” It was all I could do not to scream and just keep the dog. Seriously? Who doesn’t know how to leash a dog?! I think it was frustrating, in part, because she’d just gushed about how much she loves dogs.
Breathe.
I need to listen to Can’t Stop the Feeling again. Maybe dance a little. And breathe.
Y’all have a great Friday! Dance. Love. Feel. Celebrate. There’s so much to celebrate. And give your dog a Jones Natural Chew, watch it smile.
Spreading the good chews …
