Braided Stix, the Perfect Treat
The Braided Stix from Jones Natural Chews is billed as being a great treat for any sized dog. But I’ll let you in on a little secret – it’s especially great for small dogs. Truly, the Braided Stix is great for medium and large sized dogs, but for little dogs? Absolutely perfect. And we’re giving one away to some lucky dog!
So this all starts with meeting the most adorable small dogs in the world. They’re Silkies, about 20 pounds each, and just darling creatures. Say hello to my little friends.
The suspicious dog, Beau Jo, got the treat for our next giveaway, so we’ll pass on his skeptical nature today. Don’t get me wrong – he’s not skeptical of treats, but of people who might take them away.
Before I introduce you to the 16 year old Silky, Sandy, I’ll tell you that her mama said she’s a handful and needs a treat which would keep her busy. I’m pretty sure we found it. She gnawed on the Braided Stix for the solid hour that I was there and barely made a dent in it. Seriously the perfect gnawing/consumption treat for small dogs. Say hello to Sandy.
Those eyes are clouded with cataracts, and the ears no longer hear, but this girl knows the best darned treats in the world.
What is a Braided Stix?
According to Jones Natural Chews –
With no artificial ingredients added, dogs go crazy over our Braided Bully Stix. It is three USA all-natural bully stick beef pizzles braided together and oven baked in its own casing to make a more flavorful, longer lasting chew. Braided Stix make a great chew for any size dog and is a good protein source with low fat content. All Jones’ products are 100% grown and made in the USA
The Braided Stix are great long-lasting chews for small dogs. A larger dog – say 50 to 60 pounds – would eat this treat in about 10 minutes if it’s an aggressive chewer. That’s not a bad thing. But for a small dog, a tasty, high protein treat which keeps it busy for hours – that’s a good thing.
Literally an hour – I was catching up with the mom, an old friend, and this cutie pie gnawed like crazy for an hour, barely making a dent in the Braided Stix. Granted, Sandy’s teeth and jaw are ancient, but she worked it HARD. It’s the perfect treat for small dogs.
