Today I’m going to take you behind the scenes at Casa de Pulga. While I’ve been having fun writing about American Leopard Curs and all natural, grown and made in the USA treats, stuff has been happening here. IN MY HOUSE. Lookit –
Yeah. That’s Scout. Do y’all remember Scout, the Affenpinscher, from a couple months back? His mama asked me to pup sit for the day on Monday. I thought Hunny would fall in love and beg for an Affenpinscher.
He totally did. Hunny has been scouring the adoption sites all week. None of the adoptable local Affenpinschers are good with kids. 🙁
But that’s okay. We have our own lovely non-lap dogs all the time. Patches is Hunny’s favorite.
For good reason. Hunny loves Yoda. And I love them both.
What’s not to love? Since yesterday was National Love Your Pet Day, or something, the two of them got more treats than usual. Chicken Liver Taffy, Beef Liver Taffy and Sausage Sticks were the treats of the day. I swear, I could teach my nearly twelve year old dogs to sing, dance and drive the car just using Jones Natural Chews as motivation.
Also, yesterday, Squatch had his follow up visit to the doctor.
The doctor says his lungs sound good. No snap, crackle or pop. Blood oxygen is good. She prescribed an inhaler for the short term, and said to treat him like an asthmatic. In other words, stay in the house here in Tulsa right now. This time of year the wind blows in all kinds of natural and artificial pollutants. And truthfully, Squatch was a little disappointed. He was planning on taking up smoking soon.
She says he’ll live. Then I took the dogs with me to the pharmacy to pick up the inhaler. The pharmacy tech (drive-thru) gave me a dog biscuit for each of them. I don’t think Flash ate his. Patches hesitated. I thought she wouldn’t eat hers, either. But she’s a lady and well-mannered, so she took what was offered, reluctantly. Made me laugh.
They’re spoiled, my dogs are. Jones is really the only chew they want or get. Makes my heart happy. 🙂
What makes your heart happy? What makes your dogs smile? I mean, I know how to make dogs smile, but really happy? What makes your dog happy behind the scenes?
And that’s a wrap! Y’all have a great weekend!
Until I write again …
