Bark World Buddies

August 29, 2013

SO MUCH has happened in the last week and I’ve written so little about all of it. Rather than try and cover everything about Bark World in a scatter shot fashion, I’d like to share my Bark World Buddies with you. We can unwrap more of the conference when my box o’swag arrives. For now, I’ll bombard you with photos.

Golden Sugar and a bearded lady
My Evil Twin was there, the Bearded Flea. Sugar didn’t like her as much.

I couldn’t help it. Sorry. Now for real dog buddies. I don’t remember all of their names, but they’re all pretty hip critters.

Treatable Maltese
This little diva belongs to a wonderful woman, Dona, but I can’t remember the dog’s name. I think she’s a Maltese?

And

Sugar Yoda
Sugar does an amazing Yoda impression

Ballerina Bulldog
Pudgie the Bulldog is always so nicely dressed. She’s one of my favorite Bark World Buddies.

Red merle Aussie
This is Ninja, a three year old miniature Australian Shepherd. I thought she was a puppy. She behaved rather like a puppy at times, but she was stinkin’ cute.

Australian Shepherd
GHILLIE! Ghillie is one of my favorite Aussies. He’s a red tri, 70 pounds, from working stock, and beautifully trained. But when his mama, Collette, and I weren’t watching, he ate a cupcake liner. Collette says he’d do it again in a heartbeat. I guess I wasn’t giving up the treats quickly enough.

Bark World Saint Bernard
This dog has an odd name that sounds like ocean. He’s a GORGEOUS Saint Bernard. Who has been clipped, so all that lovely, fluffy fur is gone for summer. But you won’t meet a sweeter large dog.

Pom/Schipperke mix
Isn’t this wee thing adorable? I can’t remember his name, but I think he’s a Pom/Schipperke mix. I think.

Terrier mix
Lucy! Is this Lucy? Jan Todd’s dog? What a dear this pup is! Quiet, well dressed, well behaved, sweet. We should all have dogs like Lucy.

Rat/Fox Terrier
This is Zoe, a rat terrier/fox terrier mix. Her daddy was running a booth at Bark World and she is obviously the apple of his eye. A real doll of a dog.

Norman the Scooter dog and his friend Yoda
This is Norman the Scooter Dog and, I think, Pepper Pom? No, I don’t think that’s Pepper. But Yoda walked out of the frame as soon as I’d snapped this shot.

Y’all, the best part about Bark World was meeting all of the dogs. Say hi to one of my bestest friends, mostly because he couldn’t keep his nose out of my purse, McGrady the Deaf Aussie.

McGrady the Deaf Aussie

Standard poodle
Carma Poodale, the regal standard from Kentucky, is another best buddy. She’s laid back, quiet and elegant. And I didn’t give her mama enough treats for Miss Carma. We’ll have to do something about that.

A spotted Poodle
Truman is also a Standard Poodle. His mama says she spent hours on his doo. I love it. 🙂

That was a lot of photos. There are more, but I thing I’ll stop here. Y’all have a great day!

Until I write again …
