All Natural Rib Roller
The featured treat right now is the all natural Rib Roller, a bone meant for small dogs and/or non-aggressive chewers. This bone is 100% all natural and 100% sourced and made in the USA. Let’s ask Lyric what sets the Jones Rib Roller apart:
Lyric and her big anime’ eyes can’t believe I’m giving her this scrumptious treat. Her mama has never given her real bones. Can you sense the excitement? I love bringing treats to dogs I haven’t met. I’ll be telling you more about Lyric and Jazz tomorrow, but today let’s look at Lyric hogging the all natural Rib Roller and not letting Jazz have even a sniff.
What It’s About
Lyric the Maltese has decided not to share with her little sister. Lyric is eleven years old and missing half her teeth, but she won’t let that stop her from devouring the all natural Rib Roller. What makes the Rib Roller special? It’s a two ingredient treat from Jones, one ingredient for ingestion, the other for gnawing (great for teeth and gums). Jones has this to say about the treat –
Let your dog keep up with the Jones’ and keep it cool with the Rib Roller! These luscious, juicy beef rib bones have pork skin wrap-around for a two-in-one treat! Your dog’s friends will be jealous that they don’t have the best! Made with USA beef rib and USA pork skin, this treat is 7-8″ long, great for small to medium size dogs.
The Rib Roller, a beef rib bone and pork skin wrap, is perfect for the toy breeds. My 50 pound Aussie mixes chew them up into tiny pieces and eat them, which is a bad thing. Bones are meant for gnawing, not for consumption. One little shard lodged in the intestines and my dogs would be in a world of hurt. So my little Chewy gnaws on big dog bones and I treat dogs like Lyric and Jazz with all natural Rib Rollers.
For Smaller Dogs
Speaking of Jazz, the adorable Yorkie, she was a wee bit put out that Lyric wasn’t willing to share. Here’s the beauty of the Rib Roller for a tiny dog:
- Pork skin wrap – a long, delicious, thick strip of pork skin has been wrapped and baked around the bone, enough to keep a toy breed busy for hours getting it off and consuming it
- Beef bones are sturdier than others and safer for tiny dogs
- Bones are great for gnawing and dog dental health, helping to keep teeth and gums clean
- Your dog will disappear quietly and gnaw for long periods of time
That said, a word about the Rib Roller and tiny dogs. That pork skin wrap? It’s a lot like bacon for dogs. You wouldn’t give a toddler an entire plate of bacon and let them eat it. While the skin is still on the roller, give your dog this treat in five to ten minute intervals. Your dog will be happy, but won’t consume too much pork skin. It’s a long-lasting treat is what I’m saying. Too much fat is bad for a dog’s digestive system, especially a tiny dog. And by tiny dog, I mean ten to fifteen pounds or less.
After a few minutes we take the all natural Rib Roller away. Lyric is less than ten pounds and needs to watch her girlish figure. Especially at eleven years old, with a slowing metabolism.

P.S. Today’s post is gently recycled and doctored up. I’ll be at the hospital for chemo infusions most of the day. That’s right – I get to have all the fun. Don’t be too jealous.
