STAY TUNED FOR FUN NEWS AT THE BOTTOM OF POST
Welcome to This’n’That Thursday, hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Ruskus the Eskie! And because it’s the day after Christmas, today will probably be more random than usual. That said, there was one all natural Christmas gift that brought more excitement than all the others:
That’s not actually a gift. Jones Natural Chews sends me a big box of all natural, grown and made in the USA goodness two or three times a year. It’s the end bits and pieces, or broken treat pieces that they can’t package because they’re not “pretty” enough. I package them into sandwich baggies and tuck a baggy in my purse. In addition to my own dogs having the very best, I treat dogs when I go on photo shoots, as well as greeting random dogs when out and about, handing out my card and a treat, snapping a picture. It’s a beautiful thing. The all natural Christmas gift that keeps on giving.
And how was Christmas for those of you who celebrate? We almost didn’t. One child had a flu bug going into Christmas. Hunny had a cold. I had a long dizzy spell. That kind of year. But the critters all had an all natural Christmas. I’ll show you, since I had to play with my favorite gift yesterday – a lens kit for my iPhone!
It was a good day. Delayed, but good.
So tell me what Santa brought you and your pups! Inquiring minds need to know! Was it food related? Tennis balls? Puzzle toys for the pooch? Or tickets for a cruise? Man, wouldn’t that be sweet? Someone put a bug in Hunny’s ear for next year, m’kay?
In other news, no one in my house got live animals for Christmas. Wouldn’t that be considered an all natural Christmas gift? It’s bad enough that my chickens eat Jones Chicken Taffy. I can’t imagine having to share the treats with ANOTHER critter.
FaceCrack exploded with Christmas yesterday, while I was busy chronicling conversations. Conversations like this:
Oliver – He tried tripping me with his paws coming down the stairs!
Me – The cat?
Oliver – Well, I did just pick him up and pretend he was an airplane …
Oliver is 19, nearly 20. Do they ever learn? Good heavens.
Now for my NEWS!!! Dawn, of Pet Auto Safety Blog and American Dog Blog is coming to Tulsa! Today!!! *squeeeeeee* I’ll get to meet her and her sweet hubby and HER DOGS!!! Maya and Pierson! You better believe I’ve got treats for them! And pictures! We’ll be taking lots of pictures!
Y’all, pop over to 2 Brown Dawgs and say hi. Say hi to Ruckus for me, too. I’m thinking a post-Christmas nap is in order. A power nap before Dawn arrives. 🙂
Until I write again …
